Birthday and Dive Meet weekend

What am amazing weekend to have. This weekend Talan competed in his second diving competition and did AWESOME! He got 1st on his first 3 meter event. Jeff at first had him in the 8-9 age group but we changed him to 7 and under. If we would have not changed it he would have gotten first either way. On his 1 meter event he also took first. So proud. He is pretty stoked about this weekend. Wants to do more events and also expressed how he would like to move up to the intermediate group in diving.
What made this weekend extra, extra special is I got to visit with my niece Mikayla, which I have not seen in 12 years! Crazy I know! It was so great to see her and introduce her to my family. The kids adore her, of course! There isn't really anyone they don't cling too. But they enjoyed tickling her and bouncing on her.
We ended our trip by meeting up with some friends Maggie and Evan at Cedar Creek for a quick little bite before we headed out. So fun to be close to family and friends. It is funny how we all migrated to BIG ol' Texas.
